Membership 

Becoming a part of Ladies of Melanin means becoming part of a community built on shared values, mutual support, and lasting friendships. It is an opportunity to connect with like-minded indidvidual who inspire and uplift each other. 

Through this bond, members empower one another to grow, achieve their goals, and make positive impact both within the organization and in the boarder community. Being part of a sisterhood enriches one's life through collective experiences, personal development, and a deep sense of belonging and camaraderie.

Vetting women before they become members of our organization is a crucial process to ensure that all members align with our values, mission, and vision. This careful evaluation helps maintain the integrity and cohesiveness of our commnunity, ensuring that every new member is committed  to upholding the principles of trust, support, and mutual respect. 

By thoroughly vetting potential members, we foster a postive and harmonious environment where all individuals can thrive and contribute meaningfully to our colletctive goals.

This process may be different if you are referred by a board member or a member who has been a member for over 6 months to a year. Once the vetting process is complete (probation  period) you are then a full  member and will recieve all member benefits. 

There is a meeting once a month for members. At this meeting all prospective members will be invited to attend the meeting to interact with other members. This day they will be given an answer to their membership application.
